Transaction limits

In Payrexx Pay, the following amount limits apply to transactions made with Mastercard:

  • Minimum amount: CHF/EUR/USD 0.20 per transaction
  • Maximum amount: CHF/EUR/USD 20,000.00 per transaction

Setup

To receive payments via Mastercard, you simply need to activate the payment method in your zahls.ch account. Follow these steps.

Activating Mastercard in Payrexx Pay

We recommend that Swiss merchants activate Mastercard within Payrexx Pay:

  • Navigate to Payment Providers in the main menu of your dashboard.

  • Click "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay.

  • Scroll down slightly and check the box next to "Mastercard".

  • Complete the configuration by clicking "Save" at the bottom right of the page.

Activating Mastercard in Payrexx Pay Plus

Merchants from various European countries can activate Mastercard within Payrexx Pay Plus:

  • Navigate to Payment Providers in the main menu of your dashboard.

  • Click "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay Plus.

  • Scroll down slightly and check the box next to "Mastercard".

  • Complete the configuration by clicking "Save" at the bottom right of the page.

Payment from the Customer's Perspective

To make a payment, the customer selects "Mastercard" as the payment method in the online store, enters their card details, and completes the purchase.

In the physical store, the customer can use the card reader to make the payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we need the customer's e-mail address?

As a regulated payment service provider, zahls.ch is required to collect certain minimum information to identify the paying customer in order to comply with the requirements of the card schemes and acquiring banks.

In addition, the customer’s e-mail address is required for operational and regulatory reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Sending payment notifications
  • Fraud prevention and risk checks
  • 3-D Secure authentication processes
  • Handling of chargebacks
  • Contacting the customer in case of payment issues
