Originally designed as a payment platform for the Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba, Alipay is now one of the most popular online payment systems in China.

Customers can use Alipay to make payments both online and at the point of sale, as well as pay bills and transfer money.

In China and several other Asian countries, Alipay is one of the most widely used payment solutions. Additionally, international merchants offer Alipay to allow tourists from Asia to pay using their preferred payment method.

Alipay is available within Payrexx Pay Plus. The payment method is therefore available to merchants based in 🇨🇭 Switzerland, 🇱🇮 Liechtenstein, 🇦🇹 Austria, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇫🇷 France, 🇱🇺 Luxembourg, 🇩🇰 Denmark, and 🇧🇬 Bulgaria:

Fees

The transaction fees vary depending on the zahls.ch plan you choose. For more information, please refer to our pricing overview.

Setup

To receive payments via Alipay, you simply need to activate the payment method in your zahls.ch account. Follow these steps:

• Navigate to Payment Providers in the main menu of your dashboard.

• Click on "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay Plus.

• Scroll down a bit and check the box next to "Alipay".

• Complete the configuration by clicking "Save" at the bottom right of the page.

Payment with Alipay From The Customer's Perspective

In this section, you will learn how a payment with Alipay works.

1. The customer fills in the required fields and selects the payment method "Alipay".

2. The customer completes their details by adding the email address and account holder's name, then clicks on the green "Pay" button.
