PostFinance Pay is PostFinance's mobile payment solution, enabling customers in Switzerland to pay online and in brick-and-mortar shops using their smartphone. Payments are processed directly through the PostFinance app.

PostFinance Pay is PostFinance's mobile payment solution, enabling customers in Switzerland to pay online and in brick-and-mortar shops using their smartphone. Payments are processed directly through the PostFinance app.

In July 2024, PostFinance Pay replaced the two previous payment methods: PostFinance Card and PostFinance E-Finance.

Fees

The transaction fees vary depending on the zahls.ch plan you choose. For more information, please refer to our pricing overview.

Transaction limits

The following amount limits apply to transactions made with PostFinance Pay:

  • Minimum amount: CHF 0.20 per transaction
  • Maximum amount: CHF 20,000.00 per transaction

Setup

  • In your dashboard, go to Payment Providers in the main menu.

  • Click "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay.

  • Activate PostFinance Pay by selecting the corresponding checkbox.

  • Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Payment flow from the customer's perspective

In this section, you will learn how a payment with PostFinance Pay is processed.

  • The customer selects the "PostFinance Pay" payment method.

  • The customer is then redirected to PostFinance.

  • The customer opens the PostFinance App and selects the QR scanner.

  • The customer scans the QR code and completes the payment.
