Preparation
Before you can start testing, you need a verified zahls.ch account and at least one configured payment provider.
- Sign up for zahls.ch (the trial subscription is sufficient for testing purposes) or log in to your existing zahls.ch account.
- Complete the account verification process and wait for the confirmation of successful verification.
- Set up either Payrexx Pay, Payrexx Pay Plus, or one of the external payment providers.
- Navigate to Payment providers and click on "Configure" for the desired payment provider.
Change the value in the "Mode" field from "Live" to "Test" and save your changes.
Selection of the e-commerce tool
The easiest way to test is to use the terminal. However, you can also test with any other e-commerce tool. It is best to choose the tool you use or will use most frequently.
When the payment provider is in test mode, a corresponding message will be displayed, and the payment methods will be labeled "TEST".

In Payrexx Pay Plus, the test mode is available for the following payment methods:

Refunds in Test Mode
Test payments made via credit card, TWINT, PostFinance Pay, etc., can also be refunded in test mode.
Test Cards in the Gateway for Test Payments
When a payment provider is in test mode, the test cards will be visible in the gateway, allowing you to simulate payments. This way, you can test the payment process without having to conduct real transactions.
Deleting test payments
Test payments cannot be deleted in zahls.ch. Instead, you can hide them from your view:
- Navigate to Payments > Transactions.
- Click on "Filter".
- In the "Mode" field, select "Live".
- Click "Apply filter".
By doing this, only live payments will be displayed in your transaction list.
